About stores
Stores are managed on Platform → Store catalog (software admin). Click a store here to see ingredients linked to it. Disabled stores keep their product links but are excluded from price comparison.

Why store logins?
Costco, GFS, and Sam's Club often hide prices until you sign in. Saved credentials are encrypted and never shown again after setup.

Tips for product links
Use direct product page URLs (not store homepages). Prices sync automatically when you save or open this page. For Costco Same-Day links, set your delivery ZIP under Settings.

About these settings
Values are saved to .env. Some apply immediately; others need a server restart (you'll be notified after saving).
About your subscription
When your subscription expires, access to the menu planner and manage panel is blocked until you renew. Account owners can extend the subscription using the configured payment provider.
Team access
Control who can sign in. Account owners manage company settings, backups, and the full manage panel. Account managers can edit shopping data, store logins, team access, and the audit log. Account chefs can edit menu items and ingredients only. Account users use the public menu planner only. Software admins manage all companies and platform settings.
Each team member has a name and a sign-in email. New users receive a welcome email with their temporary password. They must choose a new password on first sign-in.

About PostgreSQL
Menu Planner stores companies, users, menus, and settings in PostgreSQL. Use Install PostgreSQL on this server on macOS, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS, or RHEL 9, or enter connection details for an existing database.
About the store catalog
These stores are available to every company. Adding a store adds it to all companies. Disabling hides a store from price comparison while keeping product links. Removing deletes the store everywhere and removes its product links.

About companies
Each company is a separate account with its own menu data, users, and subscription. Set subscription expires to control access (leave blank for no expiry).
About the audit log
Records changes made in the manage panel: menu items, ingredients, products, stores, store logins, team access, settings, backups, uploads, and password events. Retention is configurable under Platform → Backups & server (default 60 days).
